Reel it in, net it, show it offWelcome to the website of the Heavy Metal Sea Danglers Boat Angling Club. We are a non-competitive club of boat anglers based in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, but with members as far afield as Cardiff who join us regularly on trips.

We organise regular charter fishing trips out of Neyland, Aberystwyth & Swansea. Hunted species include Conger, Shark, Cod, Smoothound, Tope, Bream, Ray, Pollack, Plaice, Dab & Turbot but of course many more species often turn up announced.

The club was initially formed from the remnants of the Gulf Oil Refinery Boat Angling Club. Craig Roberts, our Honorary Chairman started the club in it's current guise of the Heavy Metal Sea Danglers Boat Angling Club approximately 1990. The members at the time dictated that there was a heavy emphasis on wreck fishing for Conger but today the club has diversified into a club of anglers with a wide range of fishing interests.

We currently have over 30 active members. Our trips vary greatly and you can see the trips for the coming season listed on our Fixtures List page. Membership costs 10 annually plus a refundable 30 boat deposit which will be reimbursed on request if membership lapses or a member decides to leave the club at any time. Trip costs vary from approximately 23 for an inshore reefing trip to around 50 for a full day's sharking miles from shore.

Some of our members have specialist angling target species. We have several Conger experts, a few serious shark chasers as well as many all round general anglers who enjoy the variety of fishing that our charter trips offer. We are currently actively seeking more members to enhance the activities and enjoyment of the club trips so if you are interested in joining us on a trip, on your own or with a fishing buddy, please use the Contact Us page to get in touch. We often have a spare place or two to offer to guest anglers.

You can be assured of a friendly welcome by our other members as well as any help you may need. You might only be in the area for a couple of weeks on holiday; that's fine too, we'd still love to see you onboard. If you are local to the area the please feel free to join us on a couple of trips before you make up your mind about joining us as a member. All we ask is that you observe the general rules of the club and abide by the friendly non-competitive spirit of the members whilst onboard.

So please, browse our site and if you like what you see, drop us a line, join us on a trip or two and see if you'd like to sign up to become a full time Heavy Metal Sea Dangler!
