The island of Bioko lies to the North West of mainland Equatorial Guinea and holds the capital city of Malabo on the north of the island.

The Jade platform is owned by Exxon Mobil and is located approximately 35 miles West of Malabo, as marked by the X on the map.

It's about a 4 hour boat ride from Malabo and approximately 25 minutes by helicopter.

Just south of Bioko are some more islands Annobon (Pagalu) 3C0) & Sao Tome & Principe.
These DXCC countries are even more rare than 3C. I don't have any plans to operate from any of these but who knows what the future might bring..........We use Canadian Helicopters Bell 212 aircraft for transport to and from the platform. These are based onshore in Malabo.
